Senior Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Manager

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a senior professional to lead its Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) programme in South Kordofan, Sudan. The manager will ensure that essential SRH services are delivered safely and effectively to displaced and conflict‑affected populations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and day‑to‑day management of the SRH programme, including emergency obstetric and neonatal care, family planning, and survivor support services.
• Supervise and mentor a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, counsellors and support staff.
• Coordinate with local health authorities, NGOs and UN agencies to align activities with national and humanitarian standards.
• Develop and monitor budgets, procurement plans and supply‑chain logistics for SRH commodities.
• Oversee data collection, monitoring, evaluation and reporting to ensure programme quality and accountability.
• Advise senior IRC leadership on SRH policy, advocacy and risk‑mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in public health, medicine, nursing, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing SRH programmes in humanitarian or conflict settings.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage complex projects under challenging conditions.
• Strong knowledge of WHO SRH guidelines and humanitarian health standards.
• Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an asset.
