Remote CMS Developer – Build Custom WordPress, Drupal & Craft Solutions

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CMS Developer to design, build, and maintain custom content management systems such as WordPress, Drupal, or Craft CMS. The role is fully remote and focuses on creating robust, scalable architectures, custom themes, and plugins while ensuring high performance and security.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and scale customized CMS applications, including custom themes, modules, and plugins.
• Implement responsive designs, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimisations.
• Configure custom post types, fields and editorial workflows for non-technical users.
• Maintain site security, backups, updates and manage user authentication.
• Apply technical SEO best practices and integrate third-party APIs, CRM systems, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.
• Collaborate daily with UI/UX designers, back-end developers and content stakeholders to meet brand guidelines and deadlines.
• Document code and technical decisions for future maintenance and knowledge transfer.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of professional software development with a strong focus on CMS platforms.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage time effectively.
• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting and attention to design detail.

Required skills

• HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox/Grid), JavaScript (ES6+).
• Server-side languages: PHP, Python, Ruby.
• Deep experience with WordPress, Drupal, Craft CMS or Magento.
• API integration and database management.
• Technical SEO implementation.
